Bring your own goggles? Just Say NO!

Some tanning salons require you to bring your own tanning goggles or buy a pair from them. Clients at those salons have the dirtiest goggles, according to studies.

That pair of goggles sits in your car, purse or pocket. Have you even once cleaned or sanitized them? Do you check them after every use for damage or cracks? No. Ain't nobody got time for dat!

So, why don't other tanning salons provide tanning goggles for you to use like Blue Dove does? I personally will not speak for any other tanning facility, but it may boil down to the fact that they make a TON of money selling you tanning goggles. Insted of paying salon staff to sanitize them and purchasing goggles for their clients to use, they are passing the cost along to YOU. At other salons not only are you are paying for a pair of goggles, you are putting your skin and eyes in danger every time you tan because you do not have the time or resources to properly sanitize your goggles before use.

When you put on a pair of tanning goggles provided by Blue Dove, you can rest assured that they were just thoroughly scrubbed and soaked in hospital grade sanitizer for at least an hour (according to CDC standards), and were sanitized and inspected for your safety.

Tanning goggles protect your eyes from sun burn & deterioration. NEVER skip wearing your eye protection, wether you are indoors or outdoors. It is a Wisconsin state law that you agree to wear them. But please, make sure your salon is following hospital grade disinfection procedures OR you're disinfecting your own pair. Or just come to Blue Dove - we've got those beautiful eyes covered, literally!
